FYB Revised Rules for Play Summer 2020

UpdatedWednesday August 12, 2020 byBrennon McKeon.

FYB has new state and local protocols that they must observe. Effective immediately!!

Falmouth Youth Baseball has worked really hard to get our kids on the field including working with state and local officials. We have spent more time then any other year just on safety protocols for covid safety without even coaching a second.

During all of this we always knew that regulations could change at any point depending on outbreak. With numbers growing in the state the governor has changed regulations for gatherings outside.

1) all spectators must wear a mask at all events outside or inside with more then 10 people present.
2) we cannot go over 50 people at our event per field including coaches, players and umpires.
Which means we can only allow 1 spectator per player at complex at this time no exceptions. Anyone not obeying this rule there child will not be permitted to play in games or practices and will be asked to leave facilities.
3.)  No kids can get dropped off there to watch games or go hit in cages unless its an organized practice with Falmouth Youth Baseball.

We know these aren't ideal situations but its what we have to do to maintain a season
for the kids. If you have an extended family and more siblings that have no where to go
then we ask that you drop your child off and come back and pick them up at the end.

We have been notified by the Town Recreation Department  and the Town Health Inspector of the new regulations and if we dont follow the rules then  the league will be shut down.

We apologize for a short notice but these are things we don't control and have to abide by if we wish to play
Anyone having a problem with these new regulations should contact Governor Baker's office and discuss it with them

Thank You
